This is a three year old female pittbull/boxer. Gypsy was owned by someone who I used to call my best friend. Tim got Gypsy when she was just a few months old. Gypsy was already abused by whomever Tim got her from. Tim raised her not to socialize with other people. But of course I was allowed to be around since I was best friends with him. Tim everyday since he got Gypsy walked her for very long walks with weights on her. Everyday the weights got heavier. Tim everyday would box with Gypsy for hours. Tim said he didn't want a wimp for a dog. So basically he raised a dog to protect him and also to be able to fight and win with other dogs. Gypsy is all muscle no fat. She is a very strong and intelligent dog. Her strength amazes me at times. Gypsy is also a very sneaky and fast dog. Tim ended up in jail about almost two years ago and Gypsy was put into San Francisco Animal Control and Care. Gypsy was there for more than a few months. Tim had to fight from jail to keep this dog. I took on the responsibility of Gypsy right in time because the day I called about her status she was about to be put down. So at that point in time I had to make sure Tim's house would pass the house property inspection so Gypsy could come home. It was a lot of work, but I managed to do it. Tim got out of jail the day before the inspection. After the house was inspected and San Francisco Animal Control passed the house. Tim was able to go pick Gypsy up. Gypsy was registered as a vicious and dangerous animal. Well not too soon after that Tim ended up in jail again. I ended up with Gypsy. I put my whole life on hold for this dog. For the past year I have had Gypsy and grown so fond and in love with her. She socializes with all my friends. I trust Gypsy alone in the house with my sisters pet rabbit and pet rat. Both animals are in cages but are in reach where if Gypsy wanted to she could get to them. But since I trust her she has never once tried to hurt them. She knows not to mess with Minnie Pearl the rat..Because when she first seen the rat Gypsy stuck her nose up to the cage and of course got the surprise of her life. Minnie Pearl got her nose really good. So Gypsy knows not to mess with the rat. Anyways Dec 28, 2009 I took Gypsy out of my house without her leash, muzzle or her red tag which says she dangerous. I took her with me because Tim had gotten out of jail about two weeks before and that day he was hitting her. I don't approve of this behavior especially when I have worked so hard with her so she would not be like he wanted her to be. When I said something about his abuse to Gypsy. He yelled and told me that Gypsy is his dog and for me to mind my own business. And not to think to even try to take her out of the house. So I did anyways cause she was crying so loud, I couldn't take it anymore. I went to office depot and left Gypsy in the blazer. The blazer's back window was broken out so in place of the glass was a strong piece of plexy glass. I have left Gypsy in the blazer before with the window like that. Gypsy never tried to break out. But less than five minutes of me being in the store, I overheard someone saying something about a dog and police. I immediately ran outside to find Gypsy tied to a railing with her harness and her side of her face filled with blood. The police were there they say she busted out the plexy glass and attacked a cocker spaniel and bit the owner. So animal control came and took my Gypsy. The San Francisco Animal Control had a hearing on this matter and during this hearing I had learned that Tim failed to tell me that he had signed papers saying that Gypsy would be retrained and put in obedience school. I had no knowledge of this. So now the decision came in that Gypsy is to be put down. I don't think its fair that this should happen. Gypsy is the reason for me going on everyday. My life has crumbled into a million pieces this past five years. Losing my sister and brother within months of each other. And losing my husband to prison for life. I did not think I would even survive this depression. But Gypsy keeps me going everyday. I never thought I would ever be so attached to an animal like I am with her. If she dies I will die. I need help and I don't know what to do. The San Francisco Animal Control should put Tim down not Gypsy. Its his fault not hers. Please anyone who can help I am so desperate and running out of time. January 25th 2010 which is Monday at the end of the day its over for my Gypsy So PLEASE HELP ME I CAN NOT LOSE HER SHE IS REALLY NOT A BAD DOG I WOULD DO ANYTHING IT TAKES TO SAVE HER LIFE. I APPRECIATE ANY KIND OF HELP THANK YOU FOR READING THIS.
